Bethesda has really been useless with this.
So basically wasted money on regular legendary edition so I'll just borrow the game from friend instead, no worries. it didn't matter because I didn't register it first. Yea Bethesda's said that even though I owned it prior and could prove it with reciept etc. With a legitimat copy, they might be able to helo you if you contact them and prove it, but really it's at Bethesda's discretion. But hopefully they can work this out somehow.įor future reference: Basically any modern game you buy as a physical copy will have a Steam key with it, required for the registration and playing, with a few exceptions.
Its just an unfortunate mistake on my part. If I had known this I would have just registered it on. It was just I wasn't ready to play it and I opened it to realize that the code was a steam code inside.
